Project Background
- The boiler room of the Hong Kong company is equipped with two 6t/h biomass-fired boilers (one for use and one for standby, used in turns) without denitrification environmental protection facilities, and the emission is difficult to meet the ultra-low emission (NOₓ≤50 mg/Nm³) requirements, and rectification is required to reduce air pollution.
Renovation Plan
- Install a set of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) exhaust gas denitrification device, the main equipment is a set of SCR reactor (2 layers of low-temperature catalyst), nitrogen injection system (pump area system, distribution system, spray gun), and control system – PLC, touch screen and related pipelines, etc. The system is designed to handle air volume of 18,000 m³/h.
Test Method
- A qualified third-party testing company was commissioned to test the concentration of nitrogen oxides (NOₓ) before and after the transformation to evaluate the effectiveness of denitrification and emission reduction.
Results
- The test results of a third-party agency show that after the SCR treatment facility was put into operation, the average nitrogen oxide (NOₓ) concentration was 24 mg/m³, meeting the ultra-low emission (NOₓ≤50 mg/Nm³) requirements, and was 97.6% lower than before the transformation. The annual VOC emission reduction is expected to be 31,534 kg;
