Project Background
- The company is equipped with a gas-steam combined cycle unit with a total installed capacity of 180 megawatts (MW), and a circulating cooling water system using river water as raw water.
Renovation Plan
- The electromagnetic wave water treatment system is installed on the condenser loop cooling water inlet pipe, with a pipe diameter of DN1200, and a total of 2 sets are installed;
Test Method
- Through testing by a third-party testing agency, the operation data of the condenser and circulating water data of the main heat exchange equipment of the power plant before and after the transformation were collected for analysis;
Results
- The heat exchange efficiency of the condenser has been improved, and the vacuum has been increased from -92.52 kPa before the transformation to -93.32 kPa, an improvement of 8 kPa.
- The condenser end temperature difference dropped from 5℃ to 63℃, an improvement of 0.37℃;
- The bacterial count in the circulating water dropped from 300,000 cfu/ml to 2,400 cfu/ml, a decrease of 297,600 cfu/ml (99.2% improvement).
